STUBBORN DOG CERAMICS

Kristen Gentilucci has been playing with clay for over 15 years. After spending 8 years working at the UC Berkeley's ceramics department and 3 years teaching pottery, she finally decided to make the move to the mountains where she yearned to call home. "The beauty of ceramics is it allows you the ability to just play, to be creative and expand your imagination. The possibilities feel endless: the more you know, the more you want to explore the medium. And with that there is an openness: to play without the fear of making a mistake and practice endlessly until you master a craft." Functionality is her model, minimalist is her style, and the great outdoors is her inspiration. She currently teaches a community ceramics class here at Cerro Coso Community College in Mammoth.
